Concerns are growing for the welfare of a man missing from Lower Darwen for almost three weeks.

Brian Lonsdale, 52, was last seen at around 3pm at his home address on Fore Street on Wednesday, October 7 and spoke with a family member the day after (October 8) over the phone. His friends and relatives have not seen or heard from him since.

He could possibly have travelled to the Burnley area and is known to socialise in pubs around the Lower Darwen and Ewood areas.

PC 5526 Gemma Clifton from Blackburn Police said:

It’s been several days since Mr Lonsdale went missing and we are keen to hear from him. We would urge anyone who may have seen him or knows of his whereabouts to get in contact with us as soon as possible so we know that he is okay.

Mr Lonsdale is described as white, around 5ft 6ins, of slim build with receding hair and blue eyes. He has a tattoo resembling an anchor on his right forearm.

If you have seen him or know where he is, please contact police on 101 quoting incident reference LC-20151019-0469.
