A partnership led by Shelter, including the Blackburn Carers Service and the Women’s Centre will be providing the very important and independent advice services – open to everyone in the borough.

The Advice for All service will focus on general information, welfare, debt and benefits advice with both preventative help and support.

The Advice for All service will continue to be based at Blackburn Central Library and Darwen Town Hall.

Councillor Andy Kay, Blackburn with Darwen Council’s Executive Member for Resources, said:

“This independent service is a very important one, and it will continue to help people in the borough and let them know where to get further help if they need it.

“Support for anyone who needs it, including vulnerable people and families, and people who find themselves in a difficult situation remains a top priority for the Council. Our aim is for high quality advice services in the borough, particularly this service.”
