Case Studies

Case Study 1 – Inspire

We thought advertising in the bus shelters in Blackburn with Darwen was a fantastic opportunity to get word out about the new Drinks Meter app.

I understand 25,000 car journeys go past each shelter every day and so, whether you invest in only a couple of shelters or run advertising across many, your campaign will be seen by people from all across the borough.

The advertising team are fast, reliable and very helpful. Most important the prices are affordable with options to suit all budgets. I would recommend this service to anyone.

Marketing Manager – Inspire

Case Study 2 – Bwd CCG

NHS Blackburn with Darwen CCG have used the advertising service for the last two years running as part of their winter campaign. The use of the advertising on the bus stops has been a crucial part of our campaign in terms of getting the messages out to patients about the importance of making sure they take advantage of the flu jab.

The whole process from booking the advertising space to seing our artwork “live” on the bus stops was stress free and easy. The team are extremely professional and managed the whole process on our behalf, just sending gentle reminders where deadlines were near. I would recommend using the medium to anyone who wanted to get their message out to a wider audience.

Case Study 3 – Rock FM

Utilising bus shelter advertising has allowed us to get our mission Christmas – Cash for Kids campaign out to the public in a cost effective and targeted way. Blackburn with Darwen are the first council that we have dealt with for outdoor advertising and we have received excellent service from the advertising team.

We purchased a number of sites for a 3 month period as that represented good value for money, but we know we have the option to purchase additional sites for specific campaigns, offering us the flexibility that we require.

Case Study 4 – St Wilfrid’s

We have now enjoyed several successful bus stop advertising campaigns run in partnership with bwd advertising. The team at Blackburn and Darwen Council are fantastic to work with and always willing to offer advice and suggestions to maximise the potential of your campaign. The pricing is excellent, but the extras-on-top that they provide, always sweeten the deal further – one example being when they highlighted our campaign and posted about it on their own social media accounts. We truly feel valued as a customer and understood as a local organisation. thanks so much bwd advertising for your assistance with our marketing needs!

Case Study 5 – Junction 5 Roundabout

We have been really impressed with the roundabout opportunities offered by Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council.

A fast, effective service that has already generated interest, not only in our new Little Bells unit, but for the whole school as well. Definitely the right decision to sponsor with this service.

All this for an affordable price, that previously was unobtainable for ourselves.

Case Study 6 – Beehive Roundabout

The roundabout advertisements have played a big part in getting our name into the local area. They have helped us to advertise our business to the huge amount of people driving past and due to picking the roundabout nearest to us and putting arrows on the signs they also help customers to find us. It was easy to arrange and happened very quickly, we were very pleased with the service.

Case Study 7 – King George’s Hall

The bus shelters across Blackburn with Darwen have been a great way for us to raise awareness of events coming to the town.

The site map is easy to use and enables you to plot coverage to your specific needs.  The staff are helpful at suggesting suitable alternatives if the sites are booked for the desired time frame and again, the map enables you to check the suitability of sites that you may not personally be aware of.

Having run three campaigns now I’ve received excellent service.  The posters have always gone up on time and have been supported with photographs supplied by email to show them in situ.

We have been using this affordable opportunity to assess what is the right product for us to use in this setting.  Each campaign has covered it’s costs, some delivering much higher returns than we’d even hoped for.  At the very least it’s getting people talking and directing traffic to our website so overall we’re thrilled with the service and the impact on our business since August.

Case Study 8 – Blackburn College

Since Blackburn with Darwen Council took over the bus shelter sites in the town, we have found it much easier to book any of our bus shelter campaigns through Richard. He works with the college in an extremely professional way, ensuring our bookings are correct and sending visuals through once they are live. The introduction of the microsite where availability and locations can be seen in real time is a great help as it means we can now look strategically at our outdoor advertising campaigns, and ensure they are of the highest visibility.

The new shelters that have been introduced look excellent and really stand out from the old out-dated ones you see around.
